Christy is a Creative Arts Therapist. She received her Master’s degree in Art Therapy from Adler University and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Marquette University. She has practiced art therapy with a wide range of individuals including children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. She is also a skilled group therapist. Through Christy’s Adlerian approach, she uses encouragement to assist clients in identifying obstacles and creating effective strategies for working towards their goals. She excels at working with clients who are either resistant to talk therapy or struggle to find words to express themselves, including youth and young adults. In 2011 she was nominated as Emerging Art Therapist of the year by the Illinois Art Therapy Association.
