About Me
Eva Wehrle recently moved here from Indiana in pursuit of furthering her clinical and educational experience after graduating from Indiana University with a master’s in social work. Eva is currently practicing as a master’s level clinician and will be testing for full licensure in the Fall of 2023. Working with children has always been at the root of Eva’s professional pursuits. Prior to the MSW program, Eva worked as a preschool teacher, with credentials from Ball State University where she graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s in educational psychology. After working in teaching for 3 years, Eva identified a need for holistic care involving her students and their families. Eva returned to school for a Master of Social Work to build the skills targeting education and growth regarding behavioral health for children and their families. The master’s program provided Eva with educational knowledge, tools, and experience practicing therapy with people of all ages. This included experience with screening assessments, Solution-Focused therapy (SFT/SFBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Eva’s final internship in the master’s program opened many doors, including the opportunity to apply for doctoral school to study clinical psychology in Georgia. Eva plans to use her knowledge and experience from teaching, social work, and her pursuit of further education in psychology to work with children and their families on the identification of root causes for behaviors. Eva firmly believes in patient-centered, culturally competent care; this profession is all about meeting people where they are, to provide them with the tools and support they need to grow and thrive.
In her free time, Eva loves to read, dance, explore, and snuggle with her pets. Eva is excited to be living and working in a new area – meeting the wonderful people coming through Counsel Connections’ doors!
