About Me

Heather is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Georgia.  She has over 30 years of experience in the psychotherapy field, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island and her Master of Social Work degree from Boston University. Heather specializes in the treatment of trauma/abuse/PTSD in children and adults. Other areas of expertise include adoption, anxiety, depression, loss, adjustment concerns, behavior management, parenting and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Heather has received certification as a Rhode Island DCYF Sexual Abuse Expert, as well as House of Hope Christian Counseling. Additionally, she is a certified Relational Wisdom Presenter.

Heather is an experienced play therapist and enjoys working with even the littlest clients to aid them in their paths toward healing and wholeness. When applicable, she integrates a family systems approach that encourages and supports the whole family in achieving their therapeutic goals.
