About Me

Patrick is an Associate Professional Counselor with nearly a decade of experience in the mental health field. His passions lie in social justice, family systems, couples, and in dedicating his work to providing the upmost quality in every therapeutic interaction. In 2018, Patrick graduated from Clayton State University with a B.S in Psychology, earning a place on the Dean’s List. His educational journey continued, and in May 2023, proudly received a M.S in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University.

Currently, Patrick serves as a Forensic Therapist with populations in correctional settings, where his commitment to social justice intersects with his dedication to mental health. His professional journey has been diverse and enriching. Since 2017, Patrick has been a valuable member of the Emory Healthcare team at Emory Decatur Hospital, working on the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. Utilizing this experience, he’s honed skills and gained insights that contribute to his holistic approach to therapy.

During internship experience as an Assessment Counselor, Patrick has been able to collaborate with a diverse multi-disciplinary treatment team, including Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Psych Nurses, and Therapists. This experience helped to shape an understanding of the importance of a team-based approach in providing comprehensive mental health care. In addition to his work in adult psychiatry, Patrick has had the privilege of working with children, delivering ABA therapy at Pathway’s Autism Center as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Before that, he additionally served as a Forensic Behavioral Associate at Georgia Regional Hospital, further broadening his experience, and understanding of mental health in different contexts.

Additionally, Patrick is certified in Anger Management and his therapeutic approach is rooted in Person-Centered, Existential, CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Recognizing the uniqueness of each individual and focusing on tailoring therapeutic methods to meet your specific needs. With the belief that you are the expert in your mental health journey “My role is to provide a warm, empathetic space for listening and support and look forward to the opportunity to work alongside you.”
