About Me
Soni Blackburn is a dedicated and compassionate therapist who supports teens and adults through individual and couples counseling. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Indiana University before obtaining her LMSW, she brings a strong clinical foundation paired with a warm, grounded presence to each session. Soni works with clients navigating a wide range of concerns, including substance use, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia and psychosis-related challenges. She also supports individuals working on boundaries, communication, self-esteem, identity exploration, life transitions, interpersonal challenges, and emotion regulation.
Her therapeutic approach is collaborative and evidence-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), reality testing, and exposure therapy. She enjoys integrating creativity into the therapeutic process and can incorporate play and art therapy techniques when appropriate to help clients express themselves and explore healing in ways that feel natural and accessible.
At the core of her work is the belief that healing happens when clients feel truly seen, supported, and empowered. Whether you are seeking stability, clarity, healthier relationships, or a deeper understanding of yourself, Soni is committed to meeting you where you are and helping you build the skills and insight needed to move forward.
